We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Monday Morning Mindfulness returns this morning.This is an opportunity to learn some mindfulness practices to help ease into the week. If you’re interested, please speak with your teacher and then join us in the library immediately following these morning announcements.

Exciting news for all pickleball enthusiasts here at SHJH.  We are thrilled to announce the launch of the SHJH Pickleball Club, and we invite you to be part of the excitement.
What is Pickleball?  Pickleball is a fast-growing racquet sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It's easy to learn, provides excellent cardiovascular exercise, and is loads of fun!  Come ready to learn and play.  Simply show up at our first meeting, and bring your enthusiasm!  No experience or equipment necessary, except sneakers — we'll provide everything else you need to get started.  If interested, please use the online link found on our athletics webpage and listen to future announcements for our first meeting date.
